Can I fit a 2007 Silverado tailgate on a classic 2007 Silverado?

There was a large enough change between the Chevy new body and old body styles so the tailgate fits from one generation would not fit the other. So if you were looking for a fifth wheel style tailgate to fit your classic body style the # VGM-99-4000 you referenced would be what you'd need.
