Question:

I am looking for the best option but it is hard to find anything that is compatible with the magnetic ride control on a 2018 GMC Sierra 1500. Are there air bags that are compatible? Or should I use something such as the SumoSprings Solo Custom Helper Springs part # SSR-209-40? I will be hauling a camper trailer with a tongue weight of less than 1,000 lbs. Any advice will be greatly appreciated.

The 2 suspension enhancement system options we have that are compatible with the MagneRide suspension on your 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 are the Timbren # TGMRCK15MR and the RoadActive Suspension (RAS) # RAS2611. The Timbren replaces the factory bumpstop on your pickup while the RAS gives you extra support to your leaf spring stack.

I personally like the RAS over the Timbren because it allows you to adjust it so that you can get that extra support sooner or later where the Timbren option is set and you can't adjust anything. Since these technically install in different places I suppose you could install them together but I don't think you would see much benefit from that as the RAS would likely keep the Timbren from doing very much.
