, will this fit a ford expedition 2001 XLT , if not what is recommended . im thinking getting your BossHog lets go aero slide-out Cargo Carrier cap 300lbs and will it fit. also is that the highest capacity you have in the Cargo Carrier in that size

Draw-Tite Ultra Frame Class IV Trailer Hitch Receiver # 41920 is a custom-fit 2-inch hitch made specifically for the Ford F-150 and F-250 light-duty pickups and so it does not fit your 2001 Ford Expedition XLT.

We offer a 2-inch Class III hitch made for your vehicle that appears on the linked page. The Curt hitch # C13049 isa USA-made hitch that has a 600-lb tongue weight rating and installs without drilling using an included hardware kit.

Curt warranty policy requires you to use support strap # 18050 with a static load like a cargo carrier. Other similar straps such as # E01418 can also be used to both support the carrier and the cargo in it.

The 66x24 Lets Go Aero BossHog Slide-Out Cargo Carrier # H01472 has a cargo weight capacity of 300-lbs. This is the only 66-inch-wide model we offer. Other carriers can hold more weight, such as # C18151, but this does not have the slide-out feature.

Keep in mind that the hitches' tongue weight (TW) rating of 600-lbs includes the weight of the carrier itself (just under 100-lbs for the FP6) as well as the weight of the cargo. The combined weight of the carrier and cargo must remain within the hitch capacity. You would be able to use the full 300-lb weight limit of the FP6 in either of these hitches.
