Question:
Using a duplex hitch with a Yakima 2 timer bike and a blue ox Car tow bar- does the bike rack interfere with the turn radius of the of the towed car? Wouldn’t like either to be damaged if they were used together by this dual hitch adapter.

Expert Reply:
Turning interference or interference from incline changes are possible with dual hitch adapters like the # RM-077-6. With the length of an RV flat towing a vehicle and the fact that the towed vehicle has 2 axles the pivot down on the inclines typically isn't too severe so clearance issues aren't common. Especially if the dual hitch adapter has a 6 inch rise difference like with the # RM-077-6.
The Yakima bike rack would have to be RV approved like the Yakima LongHaul # Y02476 which would work well.
