Recommended Hoses and Regulator to Connect 100 Pound Cylinder to Main House Line
Question:
I have a 100 lb cylinder. It will tie into a main line for the house, then splits. One line goes to a gas grill and the other will go to a gas cooktop inside the house. Cooktop is 40ft from the tank and grill is 10ft. The cooktop recommendations are 14inch wc with a minimum 11inch wc. I would also like to install a guage so I know what the propane level is in the tank. Can you recommend a set up that will work?

It sounds like you are needing a hose and regulator to go from your 100 pound cylinder to the house main line. If you have a DOT tank with a Type 1 fitting, you can use a hose like the MB Sturgis Propane Pigtail # 100833-15, which can connect to a regulator like # 108220.
From there you can connect a hose assembly like the 4 foot # 100383-48-MBS if your main line uses a 1/2 inch flare fitting.
You can also install the Camco Propane Cylinder Gas Gauge # CAM59023 to the tank before the pigtail hose. This will allow you to see when the propane level is getting low.

I have a new Westinghouse WGen9500DF 12,500 watt dual fuel generator and want to connect it to a 100 gallon propane tank that is 25 feet away. Can you please recommend a hose and regulator set up with a pressure guage? Note: the generator comes with a short propane hose and regulator for a 20 pound bbq tank. Should I use the included hose/regulator and just get a 25 foot hose to go from the 100 pound tank to the generator hose or does the 100 gallon tank require a different set-up? Also, would the pressure gauge go at the tank or generator?
