Fuse Locations for Trailer Lighting on a 2000 Ford Expedition

Question:
Where is the converter box and therefore the fuse for the trailer harness? 2000 expedition

Expert Reply:
To check the trailer towing fuses in your 2000 Expedition you will want to get into your power distribution box under the hood and locate the fuses in the 5, 19, and 20 fuses. Number 5 uses a 20 amp fuse and number 19 and 20 use a 10 amp fuse. You can find this on page 167 of your owner's manual.
The converter box on the Curt # C56332 is the black box in the middle of the harness. The fuse is located right next to it (see attached picture). This wiring harness is not a confirmed fit for your 2000 Ford Expedition.
If your Expedition has the factory tow package then you will want to use the Hopkins # HM11140925 for a factory 4-Way flat or part # 74682 for a factory 7-Way.
