Question:
Th locking mechanism on the anti-rattle hitch pin for my sportrack bike carrier wont lock down onto the pin. It seems to be stuck in the open position, the reverse of how its supposed to work. Any suggestions? Thanks.

What might be happening with your Anti-Rattle Hitch Lock for SportRack Bike Racks and Cargo Carriers # SR0901 is that your hitch receiver might be too thick which is not allowing you to get the lock on enough of the threaded pin to lock it.
You can test this out by uninstalling the threaded hitch pin (if it is installed) and trying to install the locking mechanism onto the pin. If it attaches then you know that your hitch receiver it too think and you will not be able to use the locking part of the hitch lock.
If it doesn't lock onto the threaded hitch pin then that means it is broken and you will need to order a replacement one with part # SR0901.

Is there a way to fix the lock without changing the lock?
