I may have a solution for you to install spindles and hubs on your homemade ATV trailer that can be used without a standard axle.
I recommend looking at the Timbren Axle-Less Trailer Suspension Systems that we currently have available. I have provided a link that will take you to our available selection.
You will want to make sure you choose an assembly that has the needed weight capacity for your loaded trailer. To ensure that the hubs will work with the ATV tires and wheels, you will also need to determine the wheel's bolt pattern. I have attached an article that will explain how to measure this.
For example, the Timbren Axle-Less System # A20RS545 has a 2,000 pound weight capacity and includes hubs with a 5 on 4-1/2 inch bolt pattern. These Timbren systems will fit any frame width and can eliminate the need for a thru axle. I have included a demonstration video on this product so you can see exactly how they work and install.
