Flat towing a vehicle behind a motorhome requires a number of components in addition to the tow bar and base plate. The linked article is a good resource for information related to flat towing a vehicle like your 2000 Ford Mustang GT with manual transmission.
For any vehicle the best place to confirm if it can safely be flat towed is your owner's manual. I found an online edition of the manual; pages 114/5 indicate that the rear wheel drive models can be flat towed at up to 35-mph for a distance up to 50 miles. Faster speeds and longer distances require driveshaft disconnection, which they recommend be done by a Ford technician. Your manual may indicate something different for your car so it is a good practice to review your own printed manual.
