Do you have a rail kit already? Or are you in need of that as well as the dimensions needed to mount it? We have the Reese universal install kit part # RP30035 which is a fit for your 2000 GMC Sierra 1500. This also fits with Husky fifth wheel hitches like what you have.
From the rear edge of the truck bed to the rear edge of the rear rail will measure 25-1/8 inches. You would then use the hitch to locate the front rail once you have placed the rear rail. This ensures that the hitch fits as smoothly as possible.
