Question:
Are locking cables on any of the Thule or Yakima two bike hitch racks Long enough to lock wheels also?
asked by: John R
Expert Reply:
The lock cables of the Thule and Yakima bike racks would not be long enough to feed through all of the wheels of the bikes to lock them as well but I do have a solution for you.
You could use the Python Cable Lock part # 8419DPF as it is a 6 foot long locking cable that would work well to lock the wheels. You would need to run the cable through the wheels and frame of your bikes so that they would also be locked.
If you want keyed alike locks and cable lock, then the Yakima Same Key System (SKS) Cable, 9' Long (Lock Core Sold Separately) # Y07233 and then matching cores # Y07204 will work well.
