Question:
I have installed a cantilever extention24001 to ladder tracrac TH37004XT on my 2013 Toyota Tacoma sr5. My question is when you put a straight edge on the front and back crossbars, why is there a 1inch gap or space on middle bar?

Good news, I can help explain why the rack has a gap.
According to the manufacture, the cantilever is always a bit higher than the racks crossbars. It has flex in it and as weight is added, it will end up even with the racks.
I've attached a video we shot where the ladder does the same thing but with the use of some tie down straps the ladder is secured.
