Question:
Appreciate your help about choosing a hitch Curt #C13167 for my 2014 Ford Transit Connect but forgot to ask what tow ball mount kit would be best? Ill be only carrying a cargo basket of 500 lb capacity but want something that wont be too low as to drag. Thanks so much. Your help is much appreciated!

The Curt Class III hitch you mentioned, part # C13167 provides a 2 inch square receiver that the shank on your basket will slide into, so you won't need a ball mount to use the cargo basket. You would want to choose a cargo carrier that has an angled shank to provide greater ground clearance. The Curt # C18152 shank provides 2-1/2 inches of additional ground clearance.
If you will be doing some towing you will need a ball mount. To determine which one to use, you'll measure the height of the receiver on your Transit Connect (12-1/2 inches with stock tires) and the level height of the coupler on the trailer you're wanting to tow. The difference between these measurements would be the rise of the ball mount you'll need. You'll also need a trailer ball to match the ball size required by the coupler on the trailer you'll be towing. I'll link you to an FAQ article that shows how to take the measurements I've mentioned above. If you'll be towing, you'll also be needing a wiring harness, part # 118613.
