I have a 2015 GMC Acadia without any trailering equipment, it has no hitch and is not pre-wired. Can you tell me which wiring kit I need to purchase for this? Do I just need the t-harness kit or do I need something more that runs all the way to the battery?

The Tow Ready # 118270 will work on your Acadia even if you don't have the tow package. The wiring harness includes the fuses and relays needed to activate the tow package wiring. I've confirmed this with Tow Ready.
If you needed a 7-way connector, use # 118271.
For a hitch, I'd recommend the Draw-Tite Class III trailer hitch, part # 75528.
