Replacement Wheel and Tires for a 1965 Aristocrat Lo-Liner Travel Trailer
Question:
I have a 1965 Aristocrat Lo-Liner travel trailer that I bought about 18 months ago, and I would like to replace the tires, and possibly the wheels. Its currently rolling on a pair of P155/80R13 passenger tires that the PO installed, I would like to put it on a pair of ST tires, but Im having a hard time finding a comparable size. The wheels are 4-on-4, and I dont know their age, so I feel like it might be best to replace those, too. If I purchase new wheels, do I need to worry about them fitting over the trailers drum brakes?

Tire sizes that start with the letter P are for passenger vehicles and shouldn't be used on a trailer as they aren't designed for the vertical loads that trailers will see.
Your overall tire diameter is currently 22.7 inches and the width is 6.1 inches.
For a setup that would be just slightly smaller than what you currently have and comes with a 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern wheel I would recommend the part # AM31208. The overall diameter of this wheel and tire is 21.3 inches and the section width is 5.7 inches. This is an ST rated tire that would work well that has a 1,220 lb capacity at 65 psi.
As long as your brake hubs are shorter than 8-1/2 inches in diameter you should be just fine.
If you have 10 inch diameter brake hubs you will need to go with a larger wheel instead. For that you would want the part # AM3S130 which has an overall height of 24 inches and a width of 6.6 inches. Same 4 on 4 inch bolt pattern though.
