Troubleshooting Winch On UTV that Stalls Out Engine When Operated
Question:
Hooked up my winch an i plowed snow for about 20 minutes worked fine. Went to lower plow blade an bike stalled started it back up hit button to lower plow an it stalls. Checked winch motor i jumped it it works both directions.. checked all wiring no bare wires. Replaced selanoid does works going up but stalls bike goin down n selaniod clicks. Could the circiut breaker be shorting out selaniod?

What is happening is that your winch is drawing too much and is causing the ignition to stop working on your 2007 Polaris UTV. Typically this is caused by faulty wiring, but since yours is brand new the problem is most likely that you have a bad battery that can't handle the load the winch puts on the system.
If you rev up the engine while using the winch and it seems to work then the problem would be the battery.
