Comparing Draw-Tite and Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitches for a 2012 Ford F-150 4wd 5.0
Question:
Any advantage for either one. Draw Tight Vs Curt. Im wanting a hitch to install front surf rod holder and possibly a removable winch at times. Is either one closer to the bumper for more ground clearance. Ideal would be out the hole between bumper but no one makes one.

All of the front mount trailer hitch options for a 2012 Ford F-150, see link, will be just under the front fascia on the truck once installed. There is no advantage of one over another in regards to ground clearance. All of the hitches have the same capacity ratings as well; 500 pounds vertical (link tongue weight) and 9,000 pounds line pull.
Both the Curt and Draw-Tite products are quality hitches and you really cannot go wrong with either one. The main difference is that on Curt hitch # C31068, which is designated for 4 wheel drive models without EcoBoost, the hitch installation requires removal of the front air dam if equipped.
