Recommended Weight Distribution for Towing a 2019 Vista Cruiser 19ERD with a 2014 Nissan Frontier

Question:

I have a 2019 Vista Cruiser 19ERD empty hitch weight is 380 lbs and 2014 Nissan Frontier 4WD 4.0 CC for my TV. Some of the WDHs on your website list trailers that they will work on and others dont have an application list. Id like to know which WDH would work best. Thanks!

When looking into purchasing a Weight Distribution (WD) system you want to find one with a Tongue Weight (TW) range that the Total Tongue Weight (TTW) of your towing setup falls in the middle of. To find the TTW of your towing setup you will need to add the TW of your fully loaded and ready-to-go 2019 Vista Cruiser 19ERD, which you can use part # e99044 for, along with the weight of any cargo behind the rear axle of your 2014 Nissan Frontier. Keep in mind that a properly loaded trailer will have a TW that is 10-15% of the loaded weight of your trailer.

I looked up the specs for your Vista Cruiser and it has a GVWR (gross vehicle weight rating) of 4,380 lbs which means your max TW would be 657 lbs. For your application I recommend using the Equal-i-zer # EQ37100ET because it uses trunnion bars instead of chains, has a TW range of 600 lbs - 1,000 lbs (which gives you plenty of room for equipment in your Frontier), and it comes with everything you need to get on the road although you do need to have a 1-7/8" thin-walled socket like part # EQ70-00-4800 to install the 2-5/16" hitch ball.

Attached are some videos and helpful articles that you can reference.
