Hey everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today on our 2012 GMC Sierra 1500, we're gonna be showing you how to install the Aries Oval tube steps. These ones are polished stainless steel but they're also available in a black powder code, if you find you like that style a little bit better. But before we jump in and install, let's take a minute, check these out and make sure they're gonna work for you. This set is going to kind of remind me of just your classic tube steps, you know, at least that's what I think of when I hear that word. They look decent and probably the first thing that I noticed is they're definitely gonna be functional, all right So they come out quite a ways, you know, they're not sticking way out to where they look funny or anything, but they're definitely gonna give you a good footing when you go to get in and outta the truck, which, with something like this, it's probably most important, right So you open up that door you got quite a bit of space there, you know, to get your foot on and get yourself a good grip while you're getting in and out of your truck. more

Longview Custom Towing Mirrors Installation - 2008 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2008 GMC Sierra, we're gonna be taking a look at the Longview custom-fit towing mirrors. Before I go over features, they don't look too bad. You know, they do have a decent amount of knobs and stuff on the sides, but the AVS plastic really does match the OEM look. You can't really tell a whole lot of difference. And if you can tell a little bit of difference, you gotta remember this is an older vehicle, and these are brand new. So this is a little bit glossier, but the whole finish to it is the same. more

Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 GMC Sierra- Video
Hi there GMC owners, today on your 2013 GMC Sierra 2500, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Tow Readies in bed wiring kit. And this is what our in bed connector looks like when it's installed. You'll be able to take a existing 7-way connector that's on your vehicle, and relocate it here inside of your truck bed. And that has quite a few uses. The most common use is for gooseneck and fifth wheel trailers. Just because those, where the wiring comes out of those trailers, it usually comes out near kind of the middle of your truck bed, maybe a little bit further back but a lot of times the wiring is not long enough on that trailer to drape over the back of your tailgate, and plug into the connector located on your bumper. more

Pollak Fifth Wheel and Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 GMC Sierra- Video
Hi there GMC owners. Today, on your 2013 GMC Sierra, we're gonna be taking a look at and showing you how to install Pollak's in-bed wiring harness. You can see here that you've got a seven-way connector and it's very similar to the one you've got at the back of the vehicle. It's got a spring-loaded door on it with a seal on the inside to it protected against moisture and corrosion. And we've got all the necessary signals coming out of our seven-way here that's also available at the back. Because with this kit, we're just kind of piggybacking onto our existing wiring and bringing that up here to give us a closer connection for our gooseneck or 5th wheel trailers. more

Curt 5th Wheel Wiring Harness Installation - 2013 GMC Sierra- Video
Hey everyone shane here with etrailer.com. Today I have a 2013 GMC Sierra 1500 and I want to walk through how to install the Curt, custom fit 5th wheel gooseneck inbed wiring harness. This is going to give us a simple plug in the bed of our truck. What makes it nice is when we're pulling that 5th wheel or gooseneck trailer, we don't have to take the wires and drooping over top of our tailgate and plug them in at our bumper it allows us to plug them in inside the bed to keep everything contained and it stays looking nice, we're not worring about the cord potentially damaging our tailgate on the outside. It's going to give us all of our proper lighting functions, brake lights, running lights, both turn signals, it's also going to give us a break output, so we're pulling a trailer that has brakes, and we have a brake controller also, it's going to give us the option for a reverse light signal if we decide to hook it up, or if we have it hooked up.Our plug here that mounts on the inside of the bed, they're going to be a durable plastic construction, spring loaded lid so when we're not using it, it stays closed. Nice grab handle so it makes it easy to open. more

Air Lift LoadLifter Air Helper Springs Installation - 2012 GMC Sierra- Video
Hi there Sierra owners. Today in your 2012 GMC Sierra 2500, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install Air Lift's LoadLifter 5,000 air helper springs. Before you install your air bags, you want to make sure you take a measurement of your factory ride height, because this is ideally where we want our vehicle to be at all times. So here at the back we're at about 43 inches. We're then going to go check our front. And in the front we're measuring about 39-3/4 inches.We've now got about 1,000 pounds of water here that we're going to place in the back of our truck and we're going to see how our factory suspension handles it. more

Timbren Rear Suspension Enhancement System Installation - 2005 GMC Sierra- Video
Rob: Rob here at etrailer.com and today you will be taking a look at the Timbren rear suspension enhancement system on our 2005 GMC Sierra. Now, a big reason why you might want a suspension enhancement system on your Sierra is because if you tow a trailer a lot, you'll notice that the back-end start to squat down. Well, not only is it putting a lot of stress and strain on the rear suspension, but it's also affecting the front with the back-end going down the front-end is going to get stretched upward. Which means we're going to have less contact on our tires, which means our braking and steering is going to be diminished. Not to mention that our headlights are going to be pointing up. We'll potentially be blinding people when we're driving down the road. more

I really like how our safety chain openings are sloped down and in my opinion, it just gives it kind of a neat look.One of the other thing that separates this hitch from any of the others, is it has a really heavy duty weight capacity. The maximum gross tongue weight rating for the hitch, it's going to be 800 pounds. That's going to be the amount of weight pushing down on our hitch. more

Pace Edwards PowerGate Electric Tailgate Lock Installation - 2005 GMC Sierra- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2005 GMC Sierra, we're going to be installing the Pace-Edwards Powergate electric tailgate lock, part number 311-LK270. This system is only designed to work with vehicles with factory automatic locks. If you have a manual locking system, you'll need to purchase a switch kit, such as part number PAL9520. Even though you have a tonneau cover on your vehicle, if you don't have a locking tailgate, it doesn't offer any protection from theft. Anybody can just walk up, open your tailgate, and steal your precious cargo.But with this automatic locking tailgate latch, you can now protect your cargo with the click of a button just like you we're locking your vehicle. And while it works great with the tonneau cover we've got here, it'll also work fantastically with a camper shell. more

Demco 5th Wheel/Gooseneck Wiring Harness Installation - 2011 GMC Sierra- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 GMC Sierra, we're gonna be taking a look and showing you how to install the Demco fifth wheel gooseneck 90 degree wiring harness with seven pole plug, part number DM8555002. Now, this is what you're gonna get in your kit. It's gonna hook directly into your factory wiring. And the other end's gonna hook directly into the side of your truck. The benefit of having this is when you hook your fifth wheel up, you can run the wire directly from your fifth wheel right into the bed of your truck and wiring stays in. Instead of having inaudible 00:00:33 way underneath on your bumper and having to run the wire up and over.First thing we need to do, is you see this section here inside of the bed. more

Demco Underbed Rail Kit Installation - 2011 GMC Sierra- Video
Speaker 1: Today on our 2011 GNC Sierra, we're going to be taking a look and showing you how to install the under bed rail installation kit for Demco Hijacker UMS fifth wheel and gooseneck trailer hitches, part number DM8551002. The big advantage to having an under bed rail system is it's going to leave your bed open, so if you want to take your fifth wheel out and haul, you have your whole bed to do that.Now, it's also going to come with plugs so that when the time comes that you do want to take your fifth wheel out, it's going to have plugs that you just put into place over top your holes, and it's going to keep the elements out of the inside of the holes where your pins drop in. Now, this is going to be a frame mounted system. It's going to leave your bed completely open. It's going to come with all the necessary hardware. It's going to be custom fit, so it's going to use existing holes that are in the frame, and it's going to come with all the necessary hardware to get it installed.The first thing we need to do to begin our installation, we need to do a few measurements in the bed of our truck. more

Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera Installation - 2010 GMC Sierra- Video
Today on our 2010 GMC Sierra we're going to take a look at and also show you how to install the Hopkins Smart Hitch Backup Camera and Hitch Aligner System. Part number is HM50002. Now, the need for this style backup camera is going to come for the truck or a vehicle that's not equipped with one, and you have trouble backing up to either your trailer by yourself or to other objects. With the camera system in place, as soon as you shift into reverse the camera's going to come on. See in the pattern that we currently have there it's more of a rectangular block system. That's going to be for backing up to items. Then we also, just by the hit of a button there we can switch it to the hitch line. more

WeatherTech Front Floor Liners Review - 2013 GMC Sierra- Video
Today, in our 2013 GMC Sierra, we'll be having a look at the WeatherTech front auto floor mats in tan, part number WT450661. They're also available in gray as part number WT460661, and in black WT440661. All right, here's what our floor mat looks like installed. You'll notice we have these nice ridges here and channels to help divert any water away from our feet. One thing that you'll notice is that our floor mat extends way up our firewall here behind our pedals, giving us the maximum amount of coverage and protection for our carpet. It follows all the contours of our vehicle nicely because of the nice laser measurements WeatherTech takes when designing their mats. Comes well up over our threshold here, so we don't have to worry about anything getting underneath the mat and damaging the carpet below it. You'll also notice that this mat has a raised edge around the entire perimeter of it to help contain any spills that may occur. Our passenger floor mat features many of the same features as our driver's side, giving us superior coverage especially up the firewall here. So when our passenger stretches out on a long road trip, we don't have to worry about their feet damaging the carpet. Not only do our floor mats fit in our vehicle very nicely because they follow all the contours, but it does take advantage of the factory floor mat retention hooks. more

The biggest differences that we found between our hitches here today is that our B&W hitch here at the and our Draw-Tite hitch here on the bottom both allow the use of a fifth wheel adapter so you can tow not only a gooseneck but a fifth wheel trailer as well.
