Today on our 2016 Subaru Legacy, we'll be installing the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Class II - 1-1/4". It's part number 36493. As you can see, this is what our 2016 Legacy looks like once we have the hitch installed. Pretty clean installation, very minimal amounts hanging down from the vehicle. We don't have much stuff showing where it attaches to the frame. We just have the horizontal crossbar coming here and the actual inch and a quarter receiver itself. This each has a 3500 pound max gross trailer weight rating. It has a 300 lb. more

How to Set Up Your Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2015 Subaru Legacy

Today on our 2015 Subaru Legacy we're going to review and install the Draw-Tite class two 1-1/4" receiver tube hitch, part number 36493. Now here's what our hitch is going to look like once it's installed. This is a completely steel built hitch with a fully welded construction. We've got a nice strong square tube and the entire hitch has a black powder-coated finish to resist rust and corrosion. Here at the receiver tube we've got easy access chain hold downs on each side of the hitch and a 1/2" pinhole going all the way through. The hitch itself is capable of up to 300 pound tongue weight and a 3,500 pound tow capacity. Next we'll give you a couple measurements to assist you with selecting accessories for your new hitch. more

Today on our 2019 Subaru Outback wagon, we're going to be taking a look at and showing you how to install the Draw-Tite Class 2 custom fit trailer hitch receiver, part number 36493. Here's what our hitch is going to look like once we have it installed. The crosstube is going to sit right below the bumper, but the main thing we're going to see is the receiver tube sticking out close to the end. It's going to give us an 1-1/4" by 1-1/4" receiver tube opening, which will be great for some smaller cargo carriers or bike racks.The way we're going to mount any of our accessories is through the hitch pin hole here on the side. It is going to accept a standard 1/2" pin and clip. These are not included in the kit but you can pick them up here at etrailer.com, along with some locking devices to keep your accessories secure. more

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper it's 6 inches. From he top of the receiver tube opening to the ground it's 16 1/2 inches. Now we'll go ahead with the installation. Now, to begin our install, we'll first need t lower the exhaust. To safety lower the exhaust we'll put a surety strap underneath it first, to help control the weight of the exhaust once you remove the exhaust hangers. more

From the center of the hitch pin hole to the outermost edge of the bumper is 4-3/4 inches. From the top of the receiver tube opening to the ground is 10-1/4 inches. Well now go ahead with the installation. Now to begin our install we need to lower the exhaust so we can gain access to the frame on both sides. For this application youll notice this only has a single exhaust. more

Today, in this 2010 Subaru Outback Wagon, we're going to be installing Hidden Hitch Part Number 90208. This installation will also apply for draw type hitch, Part Number 36-493. The first thing we need to do in preparation to installing our trailer hitch is go ahead and lower the exhaust down. On single exhaust models this will be on the driver side. On dual exhaust models, obviously, we'll need to remove it off both sides. There are 3 hangers that we're going to need to remove the heats exhaust, also. more
