Installing the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2019 Dodge Challenger- Video
Hi, this is Scott with etrailer. Today, we're taking a look at and installing our CURT Class 3 Hitch on our 2019 Dodge Challenger. A Dodge Challenger's a really popular vehicle, and our neighbor today wanted to get his set up so he could take his bike rack and put it on there and haul his bikes around, go into the trail, whatever he wants to do with it. Before he was using the type that bounced onto the trunk and it really wasn't working out real great for him. So we got it all set up for him with the CURT hitch, and I think this has turned out really well. This CURT hitch we have on our Challenger, it does sit a little bit low and you will be able to see the cross tube underneath on this one, but it is gonna be a two-inch by two-inch receiver on this one. more

Setting up the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver on a 2011 Dodge Challenger- Video
Jake: Hey, guys, it's Jake here with the eTrailer. Today we're going to be taking a look at and I'm going to show you how to install this Curt hitch on our 2011 Dodge Challenger. Now, it's not going to be too bad of an install, but it's going to give you that ability, when having a hitch, you're going to have that ability to insert any hitch accessories, ball mounts, or if you have a bike rack or a cargo carrier, for instance, it's going to give you a lot more space to be able to carry your accessories on the back of your vehicle. With this hitch, you're going to have a two inch by two inch hitch receiver, with a nice collar on the outside to give it a nice finished look. It's going to have a black powder-coat finish to help protect against rust and corrosion and give it a nice sleek look. With this hitch, you're going to have a standard 5/8 inch pin hole so you can insert those pins to lock those accessories down. Along with that, you're going to have loops to be able to hook your safety chains in, if you happen to be towing a trailer, or if you have an accessory that has tie-downs. more

Speaker 1: Today we're gonna be taking a look at the best custom fit trailer hitches available for the 2018 Dodge Challenger. We're gonna be taking a look at two class three hitches today. First we have our Curt, part number C13236. Follow that up with our Draw-Tite, part number 76145.Now there are class two options available for the Challenger as well, but something that's kind of odd that we noticed is even though the class two hitch is only gonna have an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter receiver tube opening, the bottom of them tends to be lower or closer to the ground than what we get in our class threes. But that's not a huge difference between the two, but it can certainly help going in and out of parking garages, driveways, situations like that. Both hitches are also gonna offer a 5/8 diameter pinhole. This is the hole you'll wanna use to keep your items in place. more

Speaker 1: Today on our 2018 Dodge Challenger we're gonna take a look at and show you how to install the Curt custom fit class two trailer hitch receiver, part number is C12064. Now here in the middle we've got a receiver tube opening, this is an inch and a quarter by inch and a quarter, it's a class two hitch. You can see the nice flush reinforcement collar there. With class two hitches you'll be able to use your bike racks, up to four bikes, cargo carriers, just about any type of hitch accessory out there on the market should be available in a class two variety. You'll use the half inch diameter pin, you want to be sure you choose a class two rated accessory but it looks like there's plenty of room there if you wanted to use an anti-rattle device or even a locking hitch pin. Safety chain connection points are a rounded steel stock, should be plenty of room for any light duty trailer to get those hooks connected there. You can see it's tucked in pretty far underneath the vehicle here so running into it or bumping into really isn't gonna be a big issue for you. Now the hitch offers a 350 pound tongue weight rating, so that's the maximum downward force we can put at the receiver tube opening and it gives us a 3,500 pound gross trailer weight rating, that would be the total weight of your trailer and anything you we're to load up on it. more
