TempMinder RV Weather Stations - Electronic Weather Station - TM78FR Review

Ellen: Hey everyone. I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com, and we're going to be taking a look at the TempMinder Wireless Indoor and Outdoor Thermometer with Weather Station and Remote Sensor. So this is what's going to come in your kit. You're also going to have that remote sensor. I've been keeping that in my pocket so it can be a little bit different temperature than what I have in the room here, so let's take a look at the features of our TempMinder and make sure that this is going to be the right one to meet your needs. So you can see on our display if I hit the light, it might be a little bit easier for you guys to see. We'll have the time and we also have the date as well as that weather station that gives us an indicator of what the weather can be that we can expect.

You can also set this to have an alarm as well so it can wake you up in the morning, and then you can have up to three remote sensors like this guy to keep track of the temperature and the humidity in a couple different areas. So if you want to have one maybe inside your fridge, another one inside one of your compartments down below in your RV, or have it set up somewhere that your pets might be so you can keep an eye on their conditions around there. Whatever you might be using it for, it allows you to have some flexibility. It does come with one sensor so you can add up to two more to go with this, so it gives you some options. Now, the remote uses two AA batteries and the thermometer and weather station, this piece here uses three AAA batteries. It does not come with those.

You will have to provide them on your own, but if you don't want to use the AAA batteries, this does have an AC power source so you can plug this into the wall and not have to worry about running it off of batteries. To set everything up, you'll have your controls at the back as well as a couple little arms here that act as a stand, so you can flip those out and have it just sitting on a table, or if you want to have this mounted to a wall there are a couple little spots here where you could hang it against a wall and have it be mounted there as well. This is the door for our batteries, so you can open that up and replace those as needed. This bigger button at the top is going to be our snooze. It also allows us to turn on the lights so you can see it a little bit clearer. Then we'll have a channel button, memory, mode, up and down so that allows you to make any adjustments to the unit as needed.

You can also change it from metric to US standard, so you can see either the temperature in Celsius or Fahrenheit depending on what you want, and then also you can change that clock from 24 hours clock to 12 hours, so can set it how you want it.This is a pretty nice little unit. Definitely going to be compact. It gives you an easy way to see what's going on. The weather indicator here, so far all it's shown me is that it's sunny, which it is outside, but I'm not quite sure what the picture would be if that we're to be different, but should give you an indicator of what's going on. You can also look at the maximum and minimum temperatures.

If you hit that memory button it allows you to see if the temperature got too hot, so you can check out where it's gone throughout the day.As far as the specs with this, the temperature range goes between negative 58 degrees Fahrenheit up to 158 degrees Fahrenheit, or negative 50 degrees Celsius up to 70 degrees Celsius. You could have the remote up to 165 feet away from this main unit and still have a reading there. As far as our size, it's about 5 3/4 inches by about 5 1/8, and then about an inch deep at the widest point there. With that little stand flipped out it's now about 2 3/4 inches deep. Our remote sensor, it's about the size of a small TV remote. That's going to be 4 1/4 inch by about 1 1/2, and about 7/8 of an inch. This you can also hang from the wall so if you want to just have this in a different room, you can mount that to a wall as well.Everything is covered by a one-year warranty, and that's pretty much all there is to it for our look at the TempMinder Wireless Indoor and Outdoor Thermometer with Weather Station. I hope this video has been helpful in deciding if this is going to be the right unit for you. Again, I'm Ellen here at etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
