Question:
would this jack be a good fit for my 10 foot moritz dump trailer

Helpful Expert Reply:
The Bulldog # BD182701 that you chose would likely work well for you, but I have a feeling the jack has WAY more capacity than you need. The capacity of the jack only needs to exceed the fully loaded tongue weight of the trailer, not the GTW gross trailer weight, which is the total weight of the trailer plus its contents. I don't know the GTW of your trailer, but from what I saw online, think you could probably get by with a smaller capacity jack. The Bulldog # BD182701 jack doesn't include the handle, part # BD015181.
If you intentionally went for overkill, I have no problem with that. I just wanted you to be aware that you didn't need to go with a jack that large. I've linked you to an article that shows you how to determine the tongue weight of your trailer, as well as our informational article about trailer jacks.
