Question:
I have a Oldsmobile Silhouette, 2001. I can only find one plug to match this part on this vehicle. Looking at part # C55355 it has two plugs on this part, it looks like either one can be used. In other words, looking at Your picture the two plugs seem to be tied together in such a way that either plug will properly work this converter. Is this correct? Is the second plug unused and just there to make this fit on other vehicles? Thank You for Your advice!! I have a rear a/c system as well as a air compressor in the compartment that your instructions say that the plug is located in. However on my vehicle there is no plug in that compartment but it is located under the vehicle directly below that compartment. But like I said there is only ONE such plug. Thank You for Your help!!

The Curt taillight converter, part # C55355 is designed to intercept the signals going to the taillight assemblies by plugging inline with the connection shown at the :35 second mark in the video I've linked you to.
I spoke with my contact at Curt, who tells me that on vehicles that were equipped with the compressor, the connectors you're looking for could be closer to the door jamb or in front of the compressor, closer toward the front of the vehicle. You might need to pull the trim panel out a bit further to gain access.
If the plug you found under the vehicle is active (check with circuit tester # PTW2992), it's possible that the # C55355 could plug in there, if the plug or socket matches the connectors shown in the photo I've edited for you.
