Question:

The roof rack you have for the 2014 Spark looks like it would scratch the paint when installed and used with any weight in it. What keeps the rack from damaging the paint? Also, I see there is a trunk mount bike rack...is there a trunk mount spare tire rack for vehicles, like the Spark, that do not come with a spare?

Helpful Expert Reply:

The Rhino-Rack ROC25 Roof Rack, # RR22RR, comes with a type of rubber pad on the clamps and rubber feet that rest on the roof of the vehicle. The # RR22RR specifically designed to fit the 2014 Chevrolet Spark. Due to this being a custom fit, if installed properly, there should be no movement of the rack which also helps to prevent paint scratches.

Although we have trunk mounted bike racks for your Spark, we do not carry a trunk mounted spare tire rack.

Assuming that your Spark currently has a bare roof, the only option that I have to enable you to carry a spare tire would be for you to install the Rhino-Rack Roof Rack, # RR22RR, and use the Yakima LoadWarrior Roof Rack Cargo Basket, # Y07070, in conjunction with the Spare Tire Carrier, # Y07076.
