Tire Chain Recommendation for 2026 Toyota Tacoma w/265/65R18 Tires

Updated 10/30/2026 | Published 10/29/2026

Question:

I have a Toyota Tacoma TRD Off Road with Good Year Wrangler tires, size 265/65R18 Tires. I was looking at the Titan TC751DC, but not sure if they fit. I live in the PNW near Mt Baker WA and would love your recommendations. Thank you, Jim

Hi Jim,

I'm not sure what kind of weather you'll need these for but if you're only in light snow and don't mind having to manually tighten the chains, I suggest using the Titan Chain Cable Tire Chain part # TC747DC. It's a square link chain with traditional ladder style pattern ideal for light snow on roads. It's also S-class compatible to make sure you won't have any clearance issues on your truck.

If you need something a bit heavier duty for deep snow and don't want to manually tighten them, I suggest using the Konig Tire Chains part # TH01594267. These chains are square links with traction plates and a diamond pattern, so they have better grip in slick conditions. With the self-tensioning feature, the chains will tighten and center themselves as you drive to keep them secure.

Do you go offroad in the winter or need them for safety chain required areas?

Possibly, the Konig Self Tensioning Chains look the better option. Do you recommend anything else needed with these chains?

@JimH The Konig chains are an excellent choice! They come with their own case for storing them when not in use, but there shouldn't be anything else that you need.
