Replacement for Aqua Pro AP3000 Water Pump

Updated 10/30/2026 | Published 10/28/2026

Question:

Hi there, I’m looking for a replacement for the Aqua Pro Universal RV Water Pump, 3.0GPM model AP3000, 21847. I have a 25 ft airstream with 2 sinks, a shower, and a toilet. Can you advise a replacement? And can you also advice a silencer kit that will be compatible with that kit? Thank you!

Hey AJ, welcome back! The Lippert Flow Max RV Water Pump # LC689052 you were looking at is a great replacement for your Aqua Pro AP3000. It runs on 12V power and delivers the same 3.0 GPM flow rate, with a slightly lower 50 psi pressure rating compared to your existing 55 psi pump. That will work well for the sinks, shower, and toilet in your Airstream.

For reducing noise, you can add the Valterra RV Water Pump Silencing Kit # P23512PB. It includes two 36" flexible hoses that help absorb vibrations instead of transferring them through your plumbing. You may need to make some minor adjustments to the fittings when installing everything.

Where are you headed with the Airstream once you get the water pump replaced?

I bought the Flow Max as a replacement for Winnebago part number 098607-01-000 on a 2001 Winnebago Adventurer. It has been working great for several years now. Since it's universal it should work. It has the same 3GPM output so the shower and other faucets work fine.

@JimG glad to hear the Flow Max has been working well for you. It's always good to hear how these pumps hold up over time.

The pump we bought has worked perfectly. The location under a bench where the pump is located emits very little noise. I would try first just the pump without all the other additions… Bob Reese

@BobR glad to hear your pump has been working well! I agree, it's worth trying the pump on its own first to see how much noise it makes before adding the silencing kit. I appreciate you sharing your experience!

AJ, pump was easy to install in camper I had at the time. Worked extremely well, was very quiet, had to listen really hard to hear if it was pumping! Fitment was great!

@FrancisW sounds like that was a pretty straightforward replacement! It's nice when everything fits without any headaches, especially when the new pump is that much quieter.

We have a variety of pumps over the years and this one is the best by far. In fact, my husband said recently, "Don't let me ever buy any other pump again."

@TessaM haha that is great, and a strong endorsement for the Flow Max. Hopefully it keeps working well for you for years to come!
