Is a Trailer Hitch Available for a 2027 Subaru Trailseeker?

Updated 10/26/2026 | Published 10/22/2026

Question:

Hi eTrailer team, I’m looking for a hitch for my Subaru trailseeker but don’t see one on your website. When do you expect to have one available? I purchased a hitch for my forester years ago and loved your customer service and install videos. Hoping to use you guys again! Thanks, Bruno

Hi Bruno!

Congrats on the new Subaru!

I'm not sure when we'll be getting a trailer hitch in for your 2027 Subaru Trailseeker since it's very new to market. Hitch manufacturers like to see how much demand there is for a hitch for a new vehicle before creating one. Once they decide to make one and get all the measurements and dimensions, they need to work it is a few months from there.

However, Tork Lift does have a trailer hitch available now if you're needing one ASAP. It's the Stainless Steel EcoHitch part # X7542S that has a 2" hitch receiver. It's a hidden style hitch as well so the cross tube won't be visible on the vehicle.

What are you planning on using it for? Bike rack? Towing a small camper?

This hitch is great and fit perfectly my 2025 Subaru Legacy. With some effort, it can be installed without lowering the muffler.

@Giorgio Happy to hear the hitch was a perfect fit! How did you work around the muffler to get it installed? I've heard it's possible to leave it and it just makes it a tight fit to try and get the bolts tightened.

I installed this hitch on a 2026 Outback

@JamesH Awesome! How are you liking the hitch so far? And what kind of stuff are you using it for?

Hi, there, isn't the trail seeker on the same frame as an Outback? My hitch has held up very well from 1925. Bob

@BobA The Trailseeker has a distinctly different frame from the Outback so a trailer hitch intended for the Outback wouldn't work. The frame holes, rear bumper beam, and clearance are all different on a Trailseeker from the Outback.
