Thanks for letting us help Brett. The specific Air Safe ball mount bracket you go with is going to be dependent on the tongue weight of your trailer and the amount of rise or drop you need to accomodate. Air Safe recommends their 1/2" ball mount bracket like Air Safe Ball Mount Bracket - 1/2" # AS78FR for tongue weights less than 1,500 lbs and the 3/4" bracket like Air Safe Ball Mount Bracket - 3/4" # AS73FR for tongue weights of 1500 lbs or more. These brackets also come in extended versions for applications that require more drop with Air Safe Extended Ball Mount Bracket - 1/2" # AS33FR and Air Safe Extended Ball Mount Bracket - 3/4" # AS63FR. The 1/2" and 3/4" dimension is actually the thickness of the steel used so these are heavy duty brackets. If you're unsure of your trailer's actual tongue weight, I'd recommend checking it with a scale like the B&W Digital Tongue Weight Scale # BW34KR. This will give you an accurate measurement and help ensure you're selecting the appropriate bracket.
All four brackets require a hitch ball with a 1-1/4" diameter shank that's rated for the weight of your trailer. A great option is the 2-5/16" Hitch Ball with 1-1/4" Diameter x 2-5/8" Long Shank # C40085.
What type of trailer or equipment are you planning to haul? That will help me narrow down which bracket would be the best fit for your setup.
