Question:

Our current air conditioner has the controls on the ceiling, and the furnace has its own thermostat. I like the new 13.5K Chill Cube, but I don't want to run new thermostat wires through the camper. Can I keep the AC controls at the ceiling?

Hey Travis! Yes, you can run the 13.5K Chill Cube from the ceiling controls and handheld remote without installing a wall thermostat. The complete systems # FR639YV (white) and # FR739YV (black) include a wall thermostat, but you can purchase the rooftop unit and matching air distribution box separately instead. Choose your rooftop color from the following:

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC - 13.5K Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - White - AC Unit Only # FR939YV

-Furrion Chill Cube RV AC - 13.5K Btu - Ducted/Non-Ducted - Black - AC Unit Only # FR439YV

Pair either one with the Air Distribution Box # FR38BC. This gives you the ceiling controls and included remote, so you can adjust the temperature, fan speed, and operating mode without running new wall-thermostat wiring. Your furnace can stay on its existing separate thermostat.

Thanks! Just to clarify, will the ceiling controls/remote also operate my furnace, or will I still need to use the separate thermostat for heat?

@Travis you'll still use your existing wall thermostat to control the furnace. The Chill Cube ceiling controls and remote only operate the air conditioner, so the two systems will work independently. You won't need to change anything with your furnace thermostat when installing the new AC.
