Hey there John.
The Mopeka sensor # MP59FR needs to be mounted on the bottom of the tank, so it won't work mounted on the side, but we have other solutions.
If you don't have access to the bottom, a SeeLeveL setup would be the better option since the sensors mount vertically to the outside wall of the tank like you were looking for. You'd need the SeeLeveL monitor # SE34VR along with a sender sized for your tank, such as the 9" # SE88VR, 12" # SE78VR, or 16" # SE27VR.
The correct sender just depends on the height of your tank.
