Question:
I'm looking at the Curt Alumalite adjustable ball mounts for my truck but I'm not sure which drop I need. I tow a couple different trailers and want enough adjustment without buying a much longer ball mount than I actually need. What options are available?

Hey Derek! I would measure your truck and trailers first so you can pick the shortest Curt Alumalite that still gives you the drop you need to cover all of your trailers. You can choose from the following based on drop:
-Curt Alumalite Aluminum Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 6" Drop # C34FR75HY
-Curt Alumalite Aluminum Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 8" Drop # C34FR65HY
-Curt Alumalite Aluminum Adjustable 2-Ball Mount - 10" Drop # C34FR23HY
All three are designed to fit a 2-1/2" receiver and adjust in 1" increments, so there isn't much reason to go with the 10" version if your trailers only need 5"-6" of drop. They also have both a 2" and 2-5/16" ball, which makes them a nice option when you're switching between trailers with different coupler sizes. I recommend adding an anti-rattle like # e55YV as well for a nice solid setup.
What truck do you have and what trailers are you towing?
