When drilling out frame with the step bit what specific size did you drill it too? I have a step bit that goes up to 7/8 inch.

Hey Randall. The head of the carriage bolt is 15/16" in diameter so you'll want to make sure that hole is just big enough to get it through there but not too big that the bolt and spacer won't be able to sit on the frame.
I attached a screen shot below from the installation instructions so you can see what size and shape hole is recommended by Curt.
The Curt Hitch item # C11563 is custom fit for the 2024 Nissan Kicks. This is a class I hitch with a 1-1/4" receiver and has a 2,000 lbs towing capacity and a maximum tongue weight of 200 lbs. This hitch comes with all hardware and fish wire tools necessary to complete the installation.

What we did was drill a little and try to see if it fit. Don’t drill to long before you check it. My son n law did most of work and I supervised (not really he is much better than me at this) I know we used a bit that at its widest point would drill wider than we would need. Drill a little and check for fit.
