Will the New Replacement Key from Thule Come Cut, or will I Need to get it Cut?

Question:

We have an older Thule Doubletray hitch bike rack and lost one of the keys. When I buy the replacement key, will a blank key be sent so I can get it cut at a key cutting service

Welcome to etrailer, I'm glad you found us!

The Replacement Key for Thule and SportRack Racks and Carriers - N072 # THKEYN072 will come cut and ready to use in your lock core N072. So no need to waste the gas to go get it cut!

Before ordering, I recommend taking a quick look at the face of your current lock cylinder to verify that it's stamped N072. If it is, you're good to go. If you don't see that number, or if the stamp is difficult to read, let me know what you do see or send me a photo of the lock, and I'd be happy to help identify the correct replacement.

Where did you lose your key? That was a trick question =)
