Is this considered a drive away tent? Can we detach from the van and leave it assembled?

The Lets Go Aero MoonUnit Tailgate Tent - 10" x 8" x 7-1/2" - RV Van Edition # LGA74ZR can indeed be left free-standing if you need to drive off somewhere. It does not need to be attached to your vehicle at all times, which is definitely a plus.
It's a little hard to see in the 2nd picture, but there is a back door flap that can be completely zippered up. With that closed and the front panel also installed and closed, it will be a fully enclosed tent.
