Why WeatherTech No-Drill Mud Flaps Don’t Fit Max Tow Gladiators

Updated 03/20/2026 | Published 03/19/2026

Question:

Why wouldnt WeatherTech Mud Flaps - Easy-Install, No-Drill, Digital Fit - Front and Rear Set Part Number: WT32GP fit with the factory tow package on the 2025 Jeep Gladiator? Would they fit with the factory side steps?

WeatherTech’s no-drill mud flaps aren’t a fit for Gladiators with the Max Tow package because that setup uses wider fender flares, similar to what you see on a Rubicon, along with a different inner fender liner design. The WT32GP flaps are molded for the standard, narrower flares, so when you try to line them up on a Max Tow model, the mounting points don’t match up correctly and the brackets can run into clearance issues with the reinforced liner. It’s not anything to do with the hitch itself, just the way the body and mounting geometry change with that package.

As for factory side steps, those are usually not a problem since they sit above or slightly inboard of where the mud flaps mount, so they typically don’t interfere but if your side steps are on a Gladiator with the Max Tow Package the flaps part # WT32GP will not fit. I know that's frustrating.

You could use the DeeZee Universal-Fit, Brite-Tread Mud Flaps part # DZ33GR but they are an universal fit that requires drilling. There is not another custom fit available.

How are you liking the Jeep Gladiator otherwise?
