Question:

Can I use a quick-disconnect like this on a battery that powers multiple things, not just a trolling motor?

Jeremy, yes - that’s actually a pretty common use case. These kits aren’t limited to trolling motors; they’re really about simplifying battery connections in general. Anywhere you’re stacking ring terminals or swapping connections, a quick-disconnect helps clean things up. One thing to note is that they are made to fit the threaded battery studs that stick out of marine batteries, so if you don't have a marine battery, you'll need to use a different battery terminal clamp adapter that adapts to this style for the ring terminal. This can be found at a cheap price at most auto parts stores or online.

For single 12V batteries, the # CE76RR works well for that. For multi-battery systems, the 24V for 2 12v batteries # CE26RR and 36v for 3 12v batteries # CE88RR keep multi-battery wiring organized while still being easy to disconnect. What all do you have tied into the battery right now?

I’ve got a charger, lights, and a small inverter all tied into the same 12v battery.

@Jeremy Oh wow that's cool. I have ran a small portable inverter off a 12v battery to power some tools but it was more of a temporary setup with alligator clamps. For a more permanent and safer setup, I'd definitely go with the # CE76R for your single 12V battery. You can wire the main leads to the inverter and lights, then the smaller leads to the charger. Then you can quickly unplug the connector to disconnect from everything!
