I was looking for something that looks flushed to the roof and in the price point of $500. If I get a cargo basket or stream line case, will it sit entirely on top of the crossbars? I’d figured that a system that utilized a channel connection would allow the mounting of a basket to sit a little lower. Just saying.

@Matthew The Thule WingBar Edge Roof Rack for Raised Rails item # TH99ZA are going to have the best price point of flush crossbars for a 2014 Subaru Impreza Premium 5 door wagon. There's no option for a Rhino-Rack flush setup that fits your vehicle. I get what you're saying. The height difference is going to be minimal. The issue you're going to run into with a cargo basket or box is the narrow width of the flush bars.
