I spoke with my contact at Surco and she recommended the Surco Safari Rack 5.0 Rooftop Cargo Basket # SPS4550-1101 for your 2013 Kia Sorrento with raised rails. This cargo basket mounts to your roof side rails without the need for crossbars and measures 50 x 45 x 5 inches, and weighs 32 lbs. Most other roof baskets require crossbars for their installation.

If you plan to transport a significant amount of cargo on your Sorento roof, I suggest you refer to your owner's manual to confirm the vehicle manufacturer weight rating. Bear in mind the cargo basket you select will itself count against that total weight rating. The total weight of these items plus your cargo cannot exceed the limit specified by the manufacturer.

If you do want to consider a roof rack, I have included a link to our product page for all racks for the Sorento with factory side rails. There are options from Yakima, Thule and RhinoRack that include round, square and elliptical/aero-style crossbars, which are quieter at highway speed than the other types.

For a basic, low cost rack I recommend the Curt part # C18118. This rack will work great as long as your vehicle doesn't have the Vista roof.
