Super easy, Alex – that’s one of the best parts of the Fas-Top Soft Camper Shell / Soft Truck Bed Topper # FT44EV on your 2025 Silverado 1500 (or Sierra 1500) with the 6-1/2' bed. Pop the two front pins and release the corner latches, and the whole frame lifts off in seconds. The lightweight aluminum X-frame is manageable solo and stores in its front-bed sling.

Do you think you’ll remove it often or keep it installed most of the time?

That’s good to hear. I’ll probably take it off a few times a year for hauling mulch and lumber. Can one person really handle it without scratching the bed rails?

@Alex Yeah, you’ll be fine, Alex - it’s really simple to take off. Just pull the two front pins, lift the rear bow, and fold the frame forward. You can tuck it out of the way in the bed, the garage, or even behind the cab if you’re hauling something tall. It’s a quick, one-person job even on the first try.
