Hi Jim; I'm assuming you either don't have trailer wiring or you have a 7-pole round connection which won't match up with your standard trailer connections. To install the Tekonsha Prodigy P3 Trailer Brake Controller # 90195 you will need to add a 7-way blade like you said.
Start by adding a 4-way # C59236 and then you can upgrade it to a 7-way using the # ETBC7, additional wire # 10-2-1 will probably be necessary as well due to the length of the truck. You also need to check to see if you can access the stop light circuit for brake controller installation. If this is not possible, the Roadmaster Universal Stop Light Switch Kit # RM-751000 will also be required.
What are you towing with your Peterbilt?

Hey Jim, how did things go getting the Tekonsha P3 controller wired on your Peterbilt 536? Did the ETBC7 kit and extra 10-gauge wire give you the reach you needed? Your update could make it easier for others working on similar trucks.
