Can Xtreme Boat Bilge And RV Basement Heater Set On Floor On Does It Need To Be Mounted / Bolted ?
Published 09/30/2025 >
Question:
Can I just set this heater on the floor of my bilge, or does it have to be mounted?

Alex, you can set it on the bilge floor if you want, but mounting is safer. The 400w heater # XH67FR comes with a quick-release bracket, so you can mount it securely on the floor, wall, or ceiling and still remove it easily for service. If you do just set it down, make sure it won’t tip into any standing water or interfere with moving parts. The bracket only takes a couple screws, and it really helps direct airflow where you need it.
