Question:
Hey guys, I’m restoring a 1995 American Star 30 DBWS for my grandma. Would the Fogatti FG45FR black door be a good option? Looking for something that won’t run her out of the trailer with too much heat.

Joe, great project you’ve got going. For a 30 foot trailer like your American Star, the 30k–35k BTU range is a sweet spot, and the # FG45FR black door fits right in. It has adjustable power levels with the included controller, so your grandma won’t always be blasting full heat - she can dial it down to a more comfortable level. Since this model includes the exterior black access door, it’ll give you a clean finish outside the rig too. It looks like those units are usually white though, so if you instead want a white access door, you can find that here: # FG65FR.
Do you know how your current furnace vents into your cabin? Just let me know and we can figure out which knockouts are going to be best to use.
