I have a 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5 and trying to compare whats different among the Thule bars? Can you help explain? The roof does not have rails. Would you recommend rails?

Hey Jason,

There are a few differences between the Thule bars offered for your 2024 Hyundai Ioniq 5. The main one being style of bar. There are Aero bars available, which offer a slicker look and are more aerodynamic reducing wind noise more than others. The second style is the square bar which is just a basic crossbar that is good quality but is going to be a bit louder when on your roof.

Typically I recommend Aero Bars for any roof rack. They look nicer and the reduced wind noise when driving is a huge bonus. Something like # TH92XG is you want silver bars or # TH72AG if wanted black bars. They attach using a fit kit that fits specifically into your door jam. The rails on the roof come out of the factory so if you do not have them there isn't a way to add them that I know of.

What are you looking to use the roof rack for?

Thank you. I see the Thule WingBar Edge Roof Rack and you reference the Thule Aero Bar. Other than the look (Aero doesn't seem to extend beyond the brace pieces), what's the difference?

@JasonF The main difference is that the Thule Edge is going to sit flush with the roof unlike the Wingbar Evo that extends past the roof a few inches. Otherwise the usage of the 2 and capacities are the same.
