Hello, Im looking to install trailer brakes on my 2019 Ascent. I found this very helpful for installing the front end. Ive already installed a hitch and have a 4 pin kit. Obviously, I need a 7-way. Can you provide me with the solution I need to connect a 7-way harness?

Hi Eric!
We can definitely get your 2019 Subaru Ascent set up with a 7-way! Since you already have a 4-flat, you will want either the Universal Installation Kit # ETBC7 for a wired controller (in the cab of your Ascent) or the # ETBC7L if you are wanting to go with a wireless option (like the Tekonsha Prodigy RF # TK94FR you were looking at). Both the aforementioned install kits will piggyback off the 4-flat you have, so it's good you installed one already.
If you are wanting a wired option, I highly recommend the Redarc Tow-Pro Elite Brake Controller - Dash Knob - Off-Road Mode - Up to 3 Axles - Proportional # RED44FR. This will take a bit more wiring, but it's not overly difficult. I also really like how you can only see the control knob once it's installed. You will need to drill a small hole to get it installed, but I really think it's worth it.
