What's the Difference Between the Adarac Ladder Rack A66ZA and A44EG?

Updated 08/01/2025 | Published 07/29/2025

Question:

I have a question regarding Adarac Part Number: A66ZA and Adarac Part Number: A44EG. Is the only difference the lenght of the rails? I am trying to figure out if I can use a rack that was previously on a bigger truck on one with a shorter bed by cutting the rails and drilling new holes. Thanks.

Hey Elizabeth. There isn't a database or guide to cutting up a ladder rack to fit a truck it wasn't designed for. I don't know what all is different between those two ladder racks other than they fit different trucks. They're custom fit for the following vehicles that have different bed dimensions:

The Adarac Aluminum Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack item # A44EG fits a 2007 - 2021 Toyota Tundra with a 66.7" long x 48.7" wide at the rails bed and has 66" long x 1-1/2" wide crossbars.

The Adarac Aluminum Series Custom Truck Bed Ladder Rack item # A66ZA fits a 2023 - 2027 GMC Canyon or Chevy Colorado with a 61.7" long x 45.5" wide at the rails bed and has 66" long x 1-1/2" wide crossbars.

Please note that modifying a ladder rack to fit a different vehicle will void it's warranty and all protections provided by it. I recommend not doing that and getting the correct one for your current vehicle.
