Nolan, you can swap them out, but you’ll want to do a clean uninstall of the power step harnesses to avoid any codes, shorts, or battery drain. You may need to consult a dealer to make sure you don't get any codes since it's an OEM setup.

The Romiks bolt directly to the body, so there’s no wiring to mess with. Let us know what brand Ford used on yours and we’ll walk you through the swap. They likely used Amp Research boards.

Do you like silver or black running boards more? We have both options with the Romik RB2 series:
-Romik RB2-T Running Boards w/ Custom Install Kit - Drop Brackets - 6" Wide - Black - Aluminum # RMK72WR
-Romik RB2-T Running Boards w/ Custom Install Kit - Drop Brackets - 6" Wide - Silver - Aluminum # RMK62WR

They have a really neat bracket that has different mounting holes so that you can choose how far down they drop! Let me know what you think of these.
