Roof Racks Recommended for Use on Motor Home Roof to Hold Kayaks and Surfboards

Question:

Have had several clients with class C motor homes asking for racks to hold kayaks and surfboards. what can you offer to bolt down to flat 8foot and wider roofs? Thanks.

We offer several types of water-sport carriers for kayaks and surfboards including both rack-mount types and foam block designs that require no roof rack at all. These are quite lightweight and cost-effective; this type can be seen on the link provided.

Of course we also offer a range of rack-mount water-sport carriers as well. These rack-mount carriers are generally chosen based on the shape of the roof rack crossbars employed. I have linked two pages on our site, one for kayak carriers and one for surfboard carriers, and both pages' products can be sorted using the filters in the left-hand margin.

As for racks that can mount on the roof of a motor home, we do offer complete systems such as the SportRack Pop-Up Camper Roof Rack # SR1020 that offers adjustable square crossbars. Please note that this SportRack system requires that the roof of the motor home not exceed 85-1/2-inches in width so it may not suit all applications.
