Question:

Is this just one side of the zipper teeth or both to make a full zipper? If it is just one side, do you have one that would fit the Ayer 2 cover that is a full zipper with both sides of teeth? I saw you have an etrailer one similar to what I am looking that fits the Foothill tent cover TH97UK- not sure if it would fit the Ayer 2.

Hi Suzannah!

The Replacement Travel Cover Zipper for Thule Ayer Rooftop Tent # TH32CK is only one side as it is specifically a replacement for the travel cover, not the tent. With the Thule Ayer2 being discontinued a while ago, replacements are going to be hard to come by.

I spoke with Thule and they no longer have replacements nor could they say if anything else will fit properly. The Replacement Travel Cover Zipper for Thule Foothill Rooftop Tent - 2 Person # TH97UK may work, but I can't say that with 100% confidence, unfortunately.

How did the zipper break?

The travel cover has a one side of the zipper attached to it and the other side is inside the metal housing of the tent. Is this the side intended to feed through the metal housing? We are wanting to use it for a different application, although our travel cover zipper is getting harder to use and may need replacing. Hard to find a replacement cover since they are discontinued.

@Suzannah While I can't say for sure, it does look like it. There are limited pictures available for me to work with, but the design of the # TH32CK zipper would lead me to believe it is the one you are looking for. Can you send a few pictures of the zipper in question to [email protected]? Both sides would probably help.
