Troubleshooting New Pace Edwards Tonneau Remote that Isn't Working

Question:
just bought an F-250 2008 with the Pace Edwards Bedlocker Tonneau Cover. Didnt have a remote so i bought one and think i paired it, bnut i get no response nd no sound. fuse nd wiring to battery look good, but dont hve multimeter handy. First question is do you keep records of the trucks that these are installed on to see if I still have a warranty? I bought it used and I can finish up the Wein if that helps but I dont even know where it was purchased or anything else. Maybe the serial number is on there somewhere. It wont hurt my feelings if you dont under the warranty or if its out of warranty, maybe prior owner called when it broke, which could save me some serious time obviously. And lastly, please help me fix it or let me buy something off you to make it work again. :-

Hey Yuri, we don't have a way to look up if your tonneau was bought through us but to determine if the warranty transfers you'd want to check with Pace and see if they a way to do that. I'd imagine you would need to have some info from the original owner of the cover. What I have found online is that the warranties are not transferable.
So as far as the remote goes have you checked the battery? It could be a dead battery or there might be plastic on it that is preventing the battery from making contact with the remote.

Hey Yuri, did you have a chance to check the battery in the remote or see if there's any plastic preventing contact? I'm asking because knowing your outcome could help others who might face a similar issue with their remote.
